Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This page explains how to delete your Bhakti (Bhakti — Bhajan Sangrah, com.shronix.bhakti) account and the data associated with it. You can request deletion at any time — you do not need to keep the app installed.
How to request deletion
Choose either method:
- In the app (if available): open Account → Delete Account and confirm.
- By email: send an email to from the email address you used to sign in, with the subject "Delete my Bhakti account". We may ask you to confirm from your registered email to verify the request.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your account profile (name, email and Google account identifier, profile photo).
- Your saved favourites, lists and personal notes.
- Your pending (not-yet-published) bhajan submissions and uploaded images.
- Your login sessions / access tokens and notification token.
What may be retained
- Published devotional content. Bhajans you submitted that were reviewed and published for the community may remain available, but they will be disassociated from your personal account (your name/identity removed) so the shared collection stays intact for other users. If you want a specific published bhajan removed too, mention it in your request.
- Legal / security records. A minimal record required by law or to prevent fraud/abuse may be kept for as long as legally necessary.
- Kundli / astrology birth details are processed only to generate your result and are not stored on a per-user basis, so there is nothing linked to your account to delete.
Timeline
We action deletion requests within 30 days. Data in encrypted backups is purged on the normal backup rotation (typically within 90 days).
Note
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After deletion you can still use the app without signing in, or create a new account later.
